Riders should prepare for a range of weather conditions and carry a waterproof / windproof jacket with them during the event. We have had varying weather conditions in the same day, from hail, snow, rain and glorious sunshine – just be prepared as we are in the mountains and at high altitude for parts of our route.
Riders should be aware that the terrain is rocky and hard so please make sure you are self sufficient on the trail when it comes to punctures and repairs.
Riders should carry their V5, UK insurance and Passport at all times whilst riding.
If possible riders should also carry a European Health Insurance Card (E111) as this will prevent any delays in treatment if this is required.
Apply for an E111 card here:- http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcareabroad/EHIC/Pages/about-the-ehic.aspx
All riders will need to carry an operational mobile phone whilst on the course – this will enable you to ring into Rally HQ and it will also allow us to call you on the course if we see you have a problem.
